i know there is a similar thread and you guys have suggested it has to do with the harness but i ran my friends ms1 on my car and it started right up any suggestions on what i should check

 

To start, your settings in MS1, and what output pins you have connected to the spark signals in the internal MS wiring. Usually there will be wires run from the leg of one of the resistors near the LED's to either the spare pins (SPR1 - 4) or the IAC pins. you need to make sure that these wires are going to the same pins as on the working MS1
