GM boost controller shut off switch?

ok so i for my boost controller working great, now id like to have the 12V power going to it or the feed from the ms switched so i can run stock boost when its turned off or run my 13psi when its on, is it safe to just cut the power to it even tho its still turned on in the ms?

thanks
Martin

That depends on how you did the plumbing for boost control. If you set it up so the solenoid "failing" gives you no boost you should be fine.

Why not use the TPS based boost KPA/duty screens?

Or, just use less throttle in the winter?

Note that if the solenoid is set to "increasing duty cycle decreases boost" then switching the solenoid off will result in uncontrollable boost.
