Getting rpm in MT but no spark

First off yesterday was the first i was able to try to start the car with MS installed, so i may have overlooked a few things. The map I started with was from a guy with almoste the same setup, but he was using high impedance injectors and I'm using low impedance injectors, so i had to make thoes changes bofor i tryed to start it up. Second he was using a wideband O2 sensor, i have a narrow band. Had to make changes as well. He also had other things like the daughter card installed so i had to change pin outputs back to defalt settings.

One thing i cant get to work is my fuel pump, so far i'm running it from my ignition switch for now till i figure out what i need to do to make it work.

Back to my ignition problem, I made sure i took stim for wheel "OFF" and sent it to the ecu, I checked my fuses and they are ok. I made a makeshift spark plug holder to ground to see if i was getting spark, I perfer the "shock your buddy" method but they were all to buisy to play my games.

Other than that I used the wire diagram from the faq section and left the spark settings alone in megatune.

i just tested my leading coil pack and i'm not getting good results. The 12V was live and the wire going to the ms unit i cut and grounded from the pack to the chassis of the car, should it make 1 spark for each time i touch the metal?

If you use resistors in series with your low impedance injectors, your settings should be essentially the same as your buddies.

Run the fuel pump wire from MS to the fuel pump relay coil. The other side of the relay coil is wired to switched 12V (hot in run and start position). I've been building harnesses from scratch, but I'm sure there'd be an easy way to do this with the stock harness and relay as well. Grab the FSM and take a look.

Careful with your testing, or you're going to smoke something! The Mazda coilpacks include ignitors, which take care of the coil switching. The leading coil pack is grounded via the case, and is powered full-time by the 12V supply. The control signal that determines when the coil fires is a 0-5V signal from the MS box. Grounding this wire will do nothing, as it fires the plugs at the falling side of the 5V signal.
