you can run a wire to the fuel pump check connector that's near the AFM. Just use a multi-tester to find out which side of the connector isn't grounded, and put it in that side.

the way I did it is I connected the wire from the mega squirt to the circuit opening relay (under the steering column, and then connected two sets of wires on the plug of the fuel resistor relay after I removed it.

I just did this last weekend, you can pm me about it if you want.

it's easier if you still have the stock harness on an S4 to use the fuel pump check connector... but less messy to find the circuit opening relay.

I usually recommend that people with the stock harness use the test connector because it doesn't involve cutting into the stock harness.

I have the stock harness, and would like to keep it in 1 piece if I could. I will be doing this over the weekend with installing my injectors and the MS. Tunner will start working on the car next week. Thank you for all the replies and help guys, I am sure I will be asking some stupid questions in the near future

I always run a new power and ground wire (12 gauge) directly to the pump. Gets rid of the 20 year old wiring and assures proper voltage to the pump.

I did this as well with 10 AWG wire as the old wiring usually has too much lose to run a aftermarket pump at the necessary voltage. But when I was just working on getting my MS up and running I did connect to the pump diagnostic connector since it was close and easy and worked fine.

I connected to the circuit opening relay under the steering column. I did it back about 3 - 4 weeks ago, but iirc it was the brown wire. (clean up the dirt around the wires, at first i thought the wire was black LOL, or i'm color blind, until i cleaned up the wires), i just ran a new wire from the megasquirt fuel pump wire, to the brown wire in the circuit opening relay.

It runs perfectly fine, and the relay turns the pump off when its not needed to be on, so you have no worries of the pump always running. (especially in an accident situation, which i hope no one gets into)
