Question I want to finally use the built in rev limiter, but......

I've searched on here time and again for a thread or a post about rev limiter settings, but I haven't seen anything. The MS manuals don't say anything about it either. So, my question is pretty basic I guess.
What should I do for my rev limiter settings? I was going to use just the hard limiter, instead of using both soft limiter and hard limiter. This is the part that I'm foggy about: I assume that it would be better to set it to cut spark only, as opposed to cut fuel only because I would rather it get richer when cutting out, then cutting fuel and leaning out and detonating. I noticed that the fuel and spark cut (together, not separate) is only for the soft limiter, and the hard limiter can only be set for fuel cut only, or spark cut only. Can anyone help to shed some light on this? All I really need basically is the base number, and the number below that one, as well wanting to know if I should def set the hard limiter to spark cut only.
I am using this on my N/A.

I'm assuming you removed the cat from your signature.

If that's the case, then fuel cut, spark cut, or the combination would be fine. Spark cut only could even result in some nice flames out the exhaust.

I tend to like fuel cut with timing retard on a 2 stage limiter... Set the soft limit to be at the redline, and the hard limit a couple hundred rpms higher, then set it to retard spark a bit on the soft limiter, with fuel cut happening at the hard limiter.

I guess with a turbo motor, I could see you wanting to keep it rich, but I'm not sure it's a good idea to have all that extra unburnt fuel in the exhaust manifold either.

What about the base number and the number for sparks cut from base number?
Thanks

That's everything you need to know about ms1/extra's revlimiter.
