Electronic Omp and the megasquirt?
What is the status of running the omp with ms3x? Last update I saw on it was over a year ago that it was about to be merged in to a beta.
I'm about to buy a s5 T2 that uses a standalone (sprint re) and premixes. I would really like to not have to mess with that anymore.
The haltech Ps1000 supports the omp, but I would much rather go with a megasquirt for a variety of reasons.

Really? I guess they're focusing on the pro version? That is very unfortunate, because I really liked it. If they aren't supporting it, I might have to go back to haltech....
No, all Megasquirt development has ceased as far as I can tell.
Megasquirt Support Forum (MSEXTRA) ? 1.5.1 source? (View topic)
Kind of lengthy but may want to take a look. Others have the same concern. The developers seem to be tight lipped about what is going on and reluctant to answer any direct questions.

As soon as i say that..

Looks like things may be slowly starting to pick up.
However, I doubt the metering oil pump is in their immediate scope.

That's a good sign, at least, it's too good of a product to let it go.
That said, is still a little flaky for what I need right now. I need something that I can rely on (and I really dont want to premix!) I think I'm going to spring for a haltech and jump back into the megasquirt world eventually on my Miata, assuming it's still alive and kicking.

There is always the option of running an S4 mechanical pump where you won't have reliability issues of potentially shorting out electronic steppers. The only thing you would need for this besides obviously an S4 pump is to swap out front covers with an S4. You would also need to swap the linkage or do what i did and make it bicycle cable actuated. i use a rotary aviation adapter and have a 2 cycle reservoir, however at my power levels i still premix in addition to that. The mechanical oil pump system is basically a fail safe in my case due to its limited flow rate.. which is why i have interest in going with the electric metering pump which is pending the very code this thread is concerning.

I've looked into that, and it's still on the plate (I actually have all of the parts other than the tb already), but I'm not that fired up about changing out the front cover while the engine is in the car. The electronic one gives you a lot more control including the ability to add more than it normally would, which is very attractive once I get the RA premix adapter.
Who knows, I haven't even picked up the car yet, so I'll see how I feel once I've had it a few weeks.

This can be avoided by simply pressing the clutch pedal and keeping it applied. In the past i have done this by wedging a 2x4 piece of wood between the seat and clutch pedal until I re-applied torque to the front hub bolt.
