Lightbulb Edis ?

Hello,
if we assume that trailing and leading plugs fire simultaneously - can I use EDIS setup + MS 2.2 for iginition ?

You can, renns has run that way for quite some time if I remember correctly.

Here's my old setup:

#1 EDIS4 module -> 2 single-post coils (from FC trailing coilpack) -> leading plugs
#2 EDIS4 module -> 2 single-post coils -> trailing plugs

CAS with special 72-2 wheel (emulates 36-1) driving the stock CAS VR sensors modified with slight offset to give around 5 degree split between trailing and leading.

PIP signal from either EDIS module to MS Tach-In
SAW signal from MS to both EDIS modules.

If you'd like to fire leading and trailing simultaneously, a single VR sensor can be connected to both EDIS4 modules in parallel. I ran a crank-fired setup using that scheme.

The EDIS system works very well, giving a hot, reliable spark, with zero noise problems. I've since switched over to the stock FC coil packs and 12-1 modified stock CAS and am fighting noise issues that never existed prior, in spite of being more cautious with my wiring/shielding/grounds this time around.

Thanks renns, do you have some photos of simpler crank - driven setup using one EDIS module ?

The crank (OK, e-shaft) -fired option worked great fired by an industrial VR sensor. The teeth were cut on a mill with a rotary indexing table to clock it the required 10 degrees per cut. The machinist used a larger diameter cutter than I was hoping, leaving thin teeth, but it still worked fine.
