drove my FC3S turbo untuned for the first time
Well I finally was able to move my car from storage to my house... I have to confess something, I had to secretly and urgently take it out from storage because I have a legal battle with people that owe me rent on the warehouses I rent, right next to mine. So to avoid confrontation I basically stole my own car. I don't know what these people are capable off and I hate to loose my car if they burn the place down in retaliation, hope they do cause they'll be going to jail right away.
So I had to take the car out, no laptop, no wideband, disconnected wastegate. Running a 60-1 Turbonetics w/ 1600cc sec injectors, but with the stock interheater I mean intercooler. I used a base map I made 2 months ago, staged injection w/ modified CAS. Off I went tried not take it to the on boost section, just kept it under 4k most of the time. I did feel a bit of hesitation at some rpm levels, but tried to keep it under boost and very safe since I could have been lean or pig rich, who knows.
Car felt nice, I even ran it with 91 oct. I know I know shoot me, I could have blown the engine.
But, Im happy car is finally home and I need it I just sold my LX470 on Monday so I need a car. Ordering now a new battery for my old laptop, wideband, intercooler, intercooler pipes, suspension etc. This is my new daily drive. I'm BACK!!!

attached is the map. This is a rough map it was only tested driving the car, no wideband no nothing. For warm climate.
550cc primaries, bosch 1600cc secondaries, walbro pump, top mount intercooler, ebay FPR, turbonetics 60-1 turbo. Modded cut CAS single VR circuit, staged injection starting at over 3.8krpm. Single exhaust 3" , streetported 3mm apex, S4 engine. MS 2.2
will be tuning it after more supporting mods are installed, FMIC, wideband, second fuel pump.

thanks man... well to make a looong story short, I have been using the car with a rich map I finally got a wideband and I had to rig the O2 sensor bung with a pair of vise grips, haven't even taken the car to the muffler shop. I also bought 2 sets of B9EGV from www.sparkplugs.com <--- this place rules!
This is now my only car (on purpose because if I had bought another one the rx7 would still be sitting collecting dust), well my GF lends me her corolla, but this one has gotten me around to do some of the errands and has helped inmensly in keeping my sanity with the legal battle which BTW I won
Went from a lexus to my FC which I won't sell for a while until I get back on my feet and get my RX8 to be able to have 2 rotaries in the family.
Sunday I went to hang out with some friends and to my surprise car behaves pretty decent, smacked the crap out of my friends Talon which is running a crapload of mods, including a DSM chip, huge intercooler and boosting over 20psi. No sweat and just reving the FC to about 6k cause over that the 1600cc open wide with the crappy map I got and AFRs dip into the 10s so I have to be careful, plus Im still running the stock intercooler.
so I give a big thumbs up to megasquirt, its well worth the pain of figuring it out, because its gotten me back into the scene with rotaries.
I can share the little knowledge I've gotten by doing this long term project, its been about a year or more since I got my FC with a blown engine.
I'll be posting my tuned MAP 550cc primaries + 1600cc secondaries w/ 60-1 turbo once I take the car to the dyno. The map posted previously is good to about 5.5k over that I suggest leaning out the settings. Boost is very conservative though so with more boost I should be ok. Ignition is NOT ok, I'll be fixing that too. We'll see.
