discouraging problems

ok i have this problem with my car. i have a ms2 with v3 main board. im getting this problem where if i let the car sit for a day and then start it up it will run perfect no misses ideal everything just like normal. if i shut it off and go to start it again i have to hold the gas to get it to ideal and it will spit sputter and just run like crap the whole time. but then if you let it set again for a day or so and start it and drive it. it will run great but then if you shut it off or kill it your screwed because it runs so bad you almost cant drive it. any help or ideas would be great.

have you messed with After Start Enrichment?
How is your warmup enrichment? as the car is warming up does the idle bounce a bit from leaning out, sputter when rich, or is it dialed in?

Can you post a data log of the "spitting and sputtering"
When it is sputtering and spitting does your wideband show it leaning out or getting super rich?

Get your wideband working.

Make sure it is wired up correctly. Then go to "Tools" in megatune/tunerstudio and select "calibrate afr table" then make sure you have it set up for your wideband. (Speaking of that, which one are you using?) Did it come with a gauge or is that where you're getting the "13" now 10afr when restart number from?

Post up a data log. please.

You do need to calibrate them, without a doubt. And if it only reads sometimes, then you may need to fix the connection between the innovate and the Megasquirt. I can't help you without you posting up a data long of the condition though.

My vote would be to turn off After Start Enrichment if it is showing really rich, just setting all the bins on the taper to 0 as well as all the bins in the % to 0.

Remember, my maps are just to start the car. You'll still need to fully tune them to your engine.

You probably need to tune fuel and ignition timing in the area you're talking about.

It seems to me that you're not aware that you'll need to tune every part of the fuel map and all corrections to match your engine. DO NOT drive around punching the gas until the map has been tuned. This is very important. Even if you have a map from someone with the exact same configuration as you, it won't work.
