Is any one running a digital lcd screen from the MS using tunerstudio. I wanna run the gauge cluster/dashboard on an lcd screen I can mount in the centre console.

I use a Samsung U70 LCD screen driven from my EEE PC. It is mounted in place of the gauge cluster.

hey barnett thats awesome, but I don't quite get it. Is that netbook able to run megatune or tunerstudio all in the one self-contained unit? If so, I'm getting one straight away because that is too awesome!

Interesting device. How will it connect to the MS serial port? Are there known working WinCE drivers for a serial to USB adapter cable?

It doesnt have much RAM. Id be worried about it lagging on the vital measurements of your ms. I have an old laptop I use with 256 RAM and 7 gigs HD and it lags all the time.

my plan is to clean all the programs off of it so the only thing on it is tunerstudio, then i figure it will be ok. I am also thinking about buying a usb internet router deal so I can surf the web anywhere aka use google maps as a gps

HHAHAHAHAHAHA! Thats funny. interesting idea.

I did the same to my tuning laptop, removing all the unnecessary crap. Like it isnt old and slow enough, it still is pretty slow after everything was removed. My how things have progressed in the years.

Why not run an AMD or Intel ITX mobo setup. Would be a hell of alot faster and more versatile. You could run XP embedded or just keep it in hibernation and it should boot up in under 30 seconds.

yeah, but then when you park you have to take the time to shut down windows, and then start up, you have to boot up, and open tunerstudio or megatune.... Not a big deal unless you hate waiting like I do.

I have been thinking about the carputer idea the last few days. a netbook modded to run a remote power switch and remote lcd touch screen to dash. But if I did that, Id want to run my music through it too. And I just cant find a nice way to get good quality sound from a netbook running out of a 1/8 headphone jack. Even with a sound card usb.
