Car won't start... Weird tach signal.. datalog inside

well... still haven't got this thing to fire up yet... this will now be day 5 in a row of beating my head against the wall.... I'm so close, I know, and I'm sure I'm just missing something simple but none the less....

I'm inserting a couple datlogs of my cranking atempts to see if i can get some expert opinions. The first is with both VR pots turned full clockwise and the second is me turning the hysterisis (spell that right?) pot to atempt to remove the tach spikes from the signal. I'm also going to post my current MSQ... any help would be appreciated. Also, for the record... I stabed the CAS per topless's post for using the 1,3,7,9 settings and I've wired TSEL to VROUTINV on the board... V3 board, MS1-Extra and second VR circuit in proto area.

Thanks,
Ken

second datalog is too big to upload.... but similar signals

you want the pots turned fully COUNTER clockwise. Fully clockwise is going to do odd things.

also, for what it's worth I'm getting erratic LED behavior... thge left LED flashes, intermitently when cranking, and the other two will ocassionally dim. I verified spark at the leading plug, the car was also SEVERLY flooded... to the point of fuel dripping out the turbo/exhaust mani. So, I pulled the plugs, cranked the engine blew the fuel out of the plug holes, and dried the plugs. Going to pick up new plugs tomorrow. I would have thought that I'd at least get a stumble or something. If you look at the datalog you'll see that the tach signal is ALLL over the place. That REALLY concerns me.

The tach signal being all over the place is usually because of bad or dirty grounds. Clean up your grounds, and make sure they're all at the stock locations.

I wired everything into the original harness... plug-n-play style... the car had no previous issues with grounding that i noticed... I'm thinking maybe i got one of the cas sensor wires polarity crossed... gonna check that also.... and for the record.. i saw you mentioned in another post that if you wired TSEL to VROUTINV then you had to put trigger return for falling edge...correct?

MS1 doesn't have an option for trigger return to be on the falling edge.

As far as the second trigger goes. If it's wired right, you should trigger it on the rising edge... if you wired it backwards, it should still work triggering on the falling edge.
