I guess I will ask this here. I Have a FC with a S4 Turbo engine. I am on the fence with the two versions of MS. I know MS2 is cheaper and I have friends who have built there own MS2 and are currently running the ECU. However The MS3X is better. I guess I just would like to hear from people who went one way or the other, and why.

 

I'm running an FC engine and a ms3/ms3x with sequential fuel and ignition, closed loop boost and idle, 2 channel knock sensors, 2 get probes, fuel pressure sensor, 2 channel accelerometer, wide band AEM o2.

The extra io, sequential capability and out of the box twin vr sensors are features that I wanted from the 3x board

 

MS3 has the added advantage that the developers are still actively developing the firmware.

Don't forget SD card datalogging as well. This can be used for very fast logging, which is good for tuning transients and seeing other problems you can't see otherwise.

 

MS3x also doesn't require modification to run a 13B. Just set jumpers and adjust pots.

 

Aaron after your reading (will skimming) thread on How to megasquirt I started to lean more towards the MS3x. I think I will use a MS2 on my truck.

 

I run ms3 in my turbo Miata. From comparing the two ms3 seems a lot more user friendly
