Megasquirt 1 with msns extra with zeal board
87 fc gxl with wiring tapped into the stock harness at the stock ecu so that I can swap back and forth between stock and MS until I get this thing running.

Attached are my msq as well as a datalog of my start attempts

Basically when I try to start the car I get rpm's briefly (2.5 seconds according to the log) then no rpm signal in both megatune and tunerstudio. I can't get an rpm signal again until I cycle power off/on.

Any idea whether I should be looking at my settings/wiring/board would be much appreciated.

 

That is indicative of a missing second VR signal.

If you have a scope, you can trace the outputs of both VR conditioners.

 

Bang on. Turns out I followed the instructions for MS2 and hooked up my vr2out from the zeal board to JS10 instead of JS8
