Unhappy Bench testing newly built MS2 3.0 ==> No RPM

So, I just finished my MS2v3.0 build and am trying to get it running on the stim. I am going to run the Zeal daughter board, but in the mean time, the board is jumpered (per Aaroncake's instructions) to run off the negative opto/coil/hall. I flashed a fresh version of ms2extra_3.1.0. I installed a fresh version of TunerStudio. And I am running a 12V DC inverter to eliminate any problems a low power source could cause.

I am getting live values for O2, CLT, ect from the stim, but NO RPM.
Well, not quite. The first time I ran the board, I had RPM, but only after toggling through the "tach input/ignition setups" and selecting a spark mode that worked. I believe I used LS1 and it gave me a consistent RPM and responded the potentiometer.

Here's my Problem:
The second time I tried running the MS/stim in TunerStudio, no RPM. I get values for all other pots, just no RPM. Tried different spark modes and nothing. I know this isn't really that important considering I'll be running a totally different spark setup on the car, but I would really like to get this running on a bench to learn my way around the software and gain some confidence before I add more variables to the equation.

If anything is still unclear, I will do my best to fill in any blanks.
Thanks in advance!

-Alex

Ok, don't want to jinx myself, but it seems to be working now. Restarting my PC and unplugged/replugged everything. Hope that was the problem!

OK, so the problem is back. Tried restarting, reloading the firmware, reloading various MSQs.
Connection seems to be fine, but still no RPM.
Also, is it normal for Megatune or TunerStudio to have a red "Not synced" in the bottom right.
Keep in mind, this is still hooked up to the regular Stim.

Sorry for the noob questions, just having a lack of faith at the moment.

Thanks,
Alex

Ahh! It was just a loose jumper on the bottom of the board for the ign setup.
Sorry if I wasted anyone's time!

Also to run the MSII on the regular Stim, you need to set spark mode to "Fuel Only".

Thanks Aaron. I set the ignition to Fuel Only, but I am still not getting any injector output (or anything other LEDs for that matter) to the STIM. All the pots correlate to the values in TS and their values seem normal, but no Stim LEDs.
I tried Speed Density and Alpha-N (since I have no baro input, just open MAP sensor) and made sure to put values in the load cells. The Pulsewidth time changes like it should, but it doesnt seem to be outputting to the Stim.

If the jumpers were loose, there may be other problems with the board as well. If you have a scope, probe the appropriate pins on the MSII daughtercard to make sure the CPU is outputting the signal. Then trace it through to the final power stages.
