arron or ken i need some advice plz.

been working on my FB project and i just picked another project a mk1 mr2 so the fb project has been put on pause. been doing some thinking.

my question is this: i do plan to run megasquirt on my FB . and i have my turbo FC running really well for the past 5 years. i was thinking of doing a upgrade on the FC megasquirt . was going to remove everything from the fc, the db 37 and ecu to the fb and make the few changes like coils which i have the extras already . i was recommended to change
the processor to ms2 is that really needed?

main reason for taking the FC's squirt the setup is going on my extra 13b into the fb and to me that would be a easyer swap since the tune would match the other cars setup cause the same injectors are going to be used. would be better starting point but i know fine tuning is still needed which is fine.

81 FB rx7
ms1 v3.0 dual vr fuel /spark
2nd gen coils
550/550 injector
13b n/a stock s5 turbo 8-10 psi

86 FC
ms2 v3.0 daughtedcard duel vr
fuel/spark
720/1000 injectors

let me know what you think .

MS2 has several advantages, I suggest looking at this site and making your own decision:

The big things (for NA) that I've found that really make the MS2 worth it are the improvements in engine tracking (and trailing spark works below 700 RPM so the tach works when cranking - yea, minor thing), staging tables instead of a couple parameters, and the improvements in closed loop control for both idle control & EGO control. That said, MS1 served me well within its capabilities for the years I was using it

EDIT: just remembered that the FB's don't have 2 sets of injectors, so the staging stuff won't make a difference (unless you're using FC manifolds or something)

yeah im scrapping the carb/12a stuff out granted the motor still runs i just dont want to put the money into the motor for a rebuild due to a oil leak.
