Any one have experience with Megashift?

For my 94 chevy truck with a 4L60E, I am thinking about at some point doing a LT1 or 4.8L LS swap since the TBI system is crap and and really worth it in my mind. I am going to have the Trans fix/Rebuilt so I want to use it in with my swap, Unless I find a good deal on a Manual trans. I was thinking MS2 for the ECU with a Megashift for the trans. I was wondering if anybody has used it before, or if it is better for the money to run a MS3?

I know this is a RX-7 fourm and I am asking about a chevy truck, but I am conformable on this site.

Run an MS3 and get a microsquirt to use with James' transmission controller.

FYI, here is the manual:

http://www.msextra.com/doc/pdf/Trans_Control-0022.pdf

It will work better with the ms2/extra and ms3 code than megashift will mainly because the same person wrote the transmission controller and large parts of ms2/extra and ms3.

That sounds a lot more costly then a MS2 with Megashift

You could buy 2 MS2s as well and do the same. Or ms3 and an ms2 to do the same. Megashift does not work as well as James' trans controller with ms3 or ms2/extra.

I guess there is also a way to have the stock computer run the trans parallel with a megasquirt.

I basically am reading from all this, to just do a Manual trans swap.
