Apologies, lonewolf - didn't mean to appear snippy in my answer! I didn't fully address your question. What AC said is the truth....

The MS can be run with an AFM, or without. I can't recall ever hearing of someone running an AFM on the 'Squirt in an RX-7 application. Everyone uses speed density or sometimes, Aphpa-N.

As for a jump on tuning, that's a loaded question. The basics of it is that in the beginning, set a timing curve that adequate and then adjust your A/F ratios until the car feels correct, is happy and your metering instrument (generally a wideband) agrees. Then go back to your timing table and work on it until you get a crisp feeling engine with good economy.

There is a LOT more to tuning. It will fill several books.

I think one of them is for the fuel pump, since the fuel pump control doesnt normally run through the large yellow connector. The other i'm not sure, i've never used that board.

I don't know anything about the Zeal, but I would guess one wire is the fuel pump and another is 12V.

They're labeled... one says "FP" for fuel pump, and the other says "O2" for wiring to a wideband O2 controller.

Wire it to the fuel pump relay.

I usually just wire it to the fuel-pump test connector. The MS can then control the fuel pump.

No, you don't need to do that because the MS you're using is designed to work with the CAS in its factory state and factory position.

If you're using the fuel-pump test connector it's whichever one doesn't go to ground.
