Hi guys, I am in my shop looking at the gm sensor thats "stock" for the ms, and wondering were to mount it, it seems the hole for the original CLT sensor is a little off on the thermostat housing, so drilling and tapping a new hole there seems a little risky as it may end up cracking. Mounting it on the front side of the housing does not seem like a option since it comes in the way of the alternator drive belt.

What have you guys done?

 

I did it in the water pump housing, where the sensor is in the back. I just took it in a shop, and had them drill and tap it for me for 20$.
