Question About easytherm.....

When I download easytherm, and I select rx7, and then set the numbers to farenheit instead, do I need to change the numbers in the Temperature degF section under "Enter temp-resistance pairs"? All of my temperature readings in Megatune are set to Farenheit.
Also, after doing the download, it tells me to write the files somewhere, but how the heck do I go about doing that?? My coolant temps appear to be relatively close I think, but I know my air temps are way off. My air temps are reading too hot. They are both reading higher than they should. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Brian

I have left the rx7 defaults as is, wrote the inc files and msq, flashed, copied the inc files by hand to the /carname/mtcfg dir, then changed just the ini file from C to F.

Here's the process I use when flashing new code:

1.) Open MegaTune, go to the Configurator, and select Project...New. Give the new setup a name. This creates a folder of the same name in the c:\Program Files\Megasquirt folder.
2.) Download whatever code you are planning to use, and unzip it into this newly created folder. One of the files should be msnsextra.s19.
3.) Shut down MegaTune, connect your MS box to the serial cable, and power it via stim.
4.) If the std code is still installed, short the boot jumper and power cycle MS.
5.) Run EasyTherm, select 'Custom', RX-7 defaults, hit 'Write'. Browse to the msnsextra.s19 file that you unzipped in step 2.
6.) Hit 'Download' and browse to the msnsextra_mod.s19 in that folder from step2. Note this file has the"_mod" suffix.
7.) Wait a couple minutes until counter stops, MS should reboot.

If you select the .s19 file from the proper folder, EasyTherm will copy the .inc files over to the configuration folder (mtCfg) for you. If you selected the .s19 from somewhere else, you'll need to move these .inc files yourself.

There is no need to change temps once the rx-7 defaults are selected. Actual units displayed in MegaTune is a MegaTune config setting, and is not related to the units used to create these temperature tables.

Also, be sure to swap out the bias resistor to 47 kohm if you haven't already done so.

And to clarify...There are three lookup tables created for MegaTune to use:
thermfactor.inc
matfactor.inc
airdenfactor.inc
These are normally created in the EasyTherm folder when the program is run. These files need to be copied to the c:\Program Files\Megasquirt\car1\mtCfg folder. Replace car1 with your project name if you've created a new one.
