20B Again...

I've read the previous threads but don't feel like there was any clarity to the outcome. Is the MS capable of dealing with the 20B in any capacity? Can it be used to fire both the trailing and leading at the same time? If so, what are the hardware and software arrangements that have to be made for firing 3 coil packs? Are there any downsides to running no-split in a boosted application? (this is an all-out racecar so fuel efficiency, emissions, etc have no bearing on my decision making).

The idea would be to fire 3 sets of dual-post coils (stock leading or otherwise), perhaps via a DIS-4 or equivalent amplifier reading off a 2nd gen CAS.

I love the MegaSquirt but may have to resign myself to an E11v2 or Microtech if this can't be done

Right now, there is no code for running a 20b...

If you wanted to run leading and trailing together, you couldn't use 3 dual-post coils, as those coils aren't meant to actually spark through both posts at the same time... one of the posts will always have ionized gasses to conduct through during the exhaust stroke on a normal wasted-spark configuration.

You could probably wire it up as a v6, and run "wasted COP", meaning get a coil-on-plug coil for each plug, and wire leading and trailing in pairs to the MS.

So let's say I used 6 LS1 coils (or similar which have built-in igniters), what hardware mods would be needed to obtain 6 ignition outputs? Or would you just use the 3 LED's as per the RX7 FAQ and wire a leading and a trailing coil per LED?
