I'm going to try this again and ask our bros or sis to post a short video of 7's running with Megasquirt. I think we should post it first on the video section and then paste the link here just to comply with forum rules. I'm looking for stable running daily driving 7's. I gave up on asking for track cars. I don't think we have any out there since no one even mentioned of even knowing of one when I repeatedly asked for one. Oh and yes the IT'S ALIVE!! Videos don't count. lol

what other specs are on this great vids mate why aint you running ignition yet ?

 

Basically its a 13B EP, 4x550cc injectors setup as 2 banks, ida style tb/manifold, staging at 3000rpm, transition over 50 ign cycles.. Just running with standard ignition as we had to get the fuel map right first... also its a brand new engine, so I need to bed it in before we tune it for optimal performance, so its running a bit rich right now...

Once I have bed it in, we will tweak the fuel map a bit more, all the way to 9000rpm and switch to a CAS and have mega running the spark too

I've got a few things to test in the meantime, getting a little noise on the rpm signal, and i need to install an air temp sensor still, and tweak voltage drop compensation, as when the thermofan and headlights are on, it won't idle... and im guessing if i have wipers on too and the heater for demist, could be bad :P

The dyno has 2 ranges...theres a switch that means that readout is either 0-150 or 150-300hp or so.. it was on the 0-150 setting... if you have a motor making over 150, then you flick the switch and read the top set of numbers.............

 

Some great footage on the Megasquirted n/a. Now lets see some more. I would like to see some turbos too.

 

I took a video this afternoon, but didnt get any sort of full-throttle run in because the roads around where i'm living arent very conducive to that, there were work crews, and id rather not do that while holding the camera with one hand and relying on the other to shift and steer. However, she certainly does get up and go! Anyway, neither youtube nor streetfire is working for me, and i dont have my own server, so does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks

I've got an in car video highligting the more fun times in the car... this is running MS2/Extra fuel only at the moment. Tach signal is a little noisy and the tune is a bit off due to not having a temp sensor while tuning, and now running with one... just waiting on a LM1815 to arrive from USA and then i'll be direct fire with CAS in no time
Inadvertently i noticed my front shocks are not working at all during this drive... they were just replaced. time to take it back!!

good stuff Darren. What turbo are you running? That is the power I am looking to accomplish, between 390 to 410 to the wheels. Good looking FC too.

It may be as late as Spring but I will make a video and a dyno run on my TII. I am running MS2/Extra (spark and fuel) using the single vr and modded CAS. I still have to finish collecting engine parts and do the build, and then it will take a while to set up maps for spark and fuel on a fresh motor, so I will likely resurrect this thread when she's all dialed in and stable.

 

I can take a video in the next couple of weeks. I just fixed the last problem keeping my from driving my GXL (mechanical, not MS related... in fact, the engine won't even run properly on the stock ECU, only the MS).

no secondaries and serious signal issues @ ~4500rpm (signified by the fluttering sound if you listen carefully), so needless to say I'm maybe pushing 40hp to the wheels... it's running much better now, but alas no recent vids. Except for this one of me cleaning the snow off of it. Nothing really happens, but you can hear it idling happily during warmup. Friggin snow...
