zinx vs LS1 FC + 50 shot (vid)

A buddy of mine with an LS1 FC (headers, exhaust, intake, HPTuners, 50 shot) and I went from a 2nd gear roll last night. He either jumped the gun or I was late but he pulled ahead by a 1/2 car or so, i reeled him back in through 3rd, and put about 2 cars on him in 4th.

It was a good kill for the rotaries, people seem to love the V8 7s around here. This is my second LS1 FC kill so I'm 2-0 against them.

I murdered a stock C5 vette on the way down to the hang out last night as well. An older guy with his wife thought he was going to take me and I put many cars on him from a 70 roll.

You can see my mods in my garage.

You can grab the vid here. Sorry for the crappy vid, its at night and we only had a normal digi cam to take the vid. It was an impromptu race, usually we like to get these during the day with better a good camcorder.

Im sure just like mazda intended for giant turbos to be put in the FD, thats why they put all that time and effort into the sequential twin turbo setup, right?

Zinx won. He won because he had a freaking T-88 on his car but he still won nonetheless. But you do realize a T-88 could just as soon be put on a LS1, right? ****, 400+ whp is easy with a LS1.

Save the flames dude. There are plenty lf LS1 FCs and FDs that would own Zinx, and yourself for that matter.

blahblahblah, I can toss a f16 jet engine in the rear of my car and put a t1000 on it. Hes running moderate boost, he has the stock motor with a turbo kit. The guy has a swapped ls1 and a 50 shot and bolt ons. 400whp is easy with an ls1...yea then it starts eating oil more then a rotary;p

Its not a stock motor, its an RX-7 Store large street port. I'm only running 1 bar right now which is below my turbo's efficiency range, I'd love to run more, but I need water/meth injection or some higher octane fuel.

Here is a vid of the guy i raced running 11.2 in the 1/4 on a 150 shot. He scored a 1.7 60ft on the Nitto 555Rs. Its a fast car.

Bullshit. Cam/head is 400 whp easily, especially with the other mods he did to it. The oil consumption would come from stroking it out with long connecting rods that would put the wrist pin in the oil ring land. And no it would not be as bad as a rotary - and with that much more displacement his real issue would be TRACTION. But he can still do all that at 5.7 liters, so he doesnt need to get a new crank or sleeve it. And he hasn't touched forced induction.

And yeah, you can put virtually any engine in there you want (and a F16 would have no use for a turbo as its a turbine jet engine to begin with) UNLESS it has pushrods which makes everyone flip out and go on witchhunts for pushrods and leafsprings, right?

Modding cars is modding cars, they're all not stock and not like the OEM 'intended it', but ridiculous misinformation and bigotry is just sad.

BTW, Zinx... why are you using such a HUGE turbo? I saw a map for it and I saw it supporting well over 100 lbs/min. You going for quadrouple digits or something? When does it spool up?

And you could also go with toluene or premix to raise the octane (if you got a REALLY good knock sensor) someone on torque central found that 2stroke premix actually RAISED knock resistance. He ran 87 on the 93 map for his engine and it was fine.

I get full boost around 4800-4900 rpm, sometimes a little higher depending on outside temps. I'm shooting for mid 500s to 600 whp, I'm not really all that far off as far as mods go, but yet, I am, its only of those kinda things.

I do premix my gas because i'm running a haltech, but there is no way i'm trusting that enough to raise my boost. I'm just going to have radkins help be build a good meth kit.
