TII vs G35

well this infiniti was cruising up the street and all of a sudden gave it some gas to get around traffic and so do i. we get to a light and start talking and i said that i wanted to know what my ol girl will do against the infiniti. the guy was with it so i revved to about 3k and when the light changed i was gone! i guess by the time it was over that i had about 5-6 cars on him and we both stopped at the next light. the driver finally comes up asked the year of my car and after i told him we were off. i actually was disappointed on the performance of the infiniti. i must say that the car is beautiful but not as fast as i thought. i was looking at car and driver and they said the infiniti is more Z than the 350z. i wonder if they know what they are talking about and the 350 is as slow as its luxurious brother?

I'd still take a G35 over my TII any day. Sexy as hell.

i'm basically stock but still roasted the dude. both of us dropped the clutch at a higher rpm than idle at least i know i did and he was revving his motor. don't get me wrong the car is oh so tasty but performance wise i'm just disappointed. i assumed for the hp/tq it would've been a better race!

tjeter, i basically have the same mods! unless your car is running out of sorts then you should've walked all over the guy. then again i don't know what it'll do from a roll but from a stop i dogged the G35 pretty easy.

you would beat him stock just as bad, when i first got my TII i had a full exhuast, jspec motor, fuel pump and 6psi, stayed with a twin turbo g35 till 4th where he pulled a car on me and i beat a supercharged 350z that was on tuner transformation, also beat my friend in a fd with full exhuats and clutch/flywheel... got a video of all 3 races but it was taped by my girlfriend in the passenger seat so no idea how to load it on the net

You beat all these cars or stayed with them at only 6psi....that is very hard to believe...

G35's certainly aren't the fastest cars out there.... lord knows my '03 coupe is nothing compared to my old Rx7, but hopefully people aren't buying them to be all out sports cars as the Rx7's are. They are great for what they are, and I was actually suprised at how well the car handles for it's weight.... just goes to show what 15years of technology can do.

I definately wish it was faster though, which is why I'm considering trading.

Cool kill.

Kinda disappointing huh? I was expecting much more when I raced on about a year and a half ago and a more powerful new one a few weeks ago at the track.

The new ones have okay top end for what it's worth. 289hp and they still can't beat up on my wife's 260hp rustang.
Pretty cool car though if I wanted to blow $35,000.
I'm old school..........Turbo II > G35 coupe.
