T88 1/2 BP FD vs 554 rwhp Honda S2000 *vid*
This race actually happened a few weeks ago, i just forgot to post it here and looking at the lack of good kills in here lately, i'm glad i remembered.
The S2000, is an awesome car. Extremely clean. Running a GT35R, he had C16 in the tank but i'm not sure how much boost he was running, probably high 20s. He made 554 rwhp on the dyno, but i don't think he was making it the night we raced, unless i magically gained 50 HP. My setup is in the vBGarage and I was on Pump gas and around 22 psi on the second pull.
On the first pull, i had my boost set too high and it went way rich, i still pulled about a car on him from about 70 to 140 (3rd and 4th).
On the second pull, i turned the boost down 10% where it should have been for the first pull. Got a good brake boost going and took him by 2 cars, maybe more. He was claiming break-up, but you "run what you brung" as all the local hill-jacks say.

Thanks, I made 512 rwhp on a dynapack. Tuned by Steve Kan back in February.

hey Jon,
what's that s2k run at the track?
Congrats on yet another kill...
p.s. You and Ryan gonna go to St. Louis for the Feb Tune?
Eric says we're gonna limit the session, to leave time to party/go clubbin..

I don't think he has the tires to make a good pass at the strip. He hasn't made a good pass, but it should be in the 10s if he could hook up and put the power down that he made on the dyno.
I don't think i'll be going back, my car is running great. I will probably be turning up the boost this winter to see what kinda power i can make on pump, but Ryan and I are probably just going to do that little bit of tuning ourselves.
Damn good runs.
Brake boosting def helps
On the second run, did you start ahead a bit? Its hard to tell from the cam car but looks like you were a car length ahead before the go.

I can build all 22 psi while brake boosting if i have enough time and the revs are high enough. Its a weird feeling.
The vid does kind of look like i'm ahead for the second pull, but i remember being dead even because i was looking right at him for the start. I don't know.

maybe the audio on the camera was turned down, but that was very quiet for a couple of HBP FDs.
Nice kill. S2ks are great cars. If you can kill it from a roll then you know you've earned the kill.

Just go with a water or meth injection setup and stick with pump, unless you plan on running more than 24 psi of boost all the time, i think its the best option.

It must be the camera because they are deafening in person, both wastegates dumped to the atmosphere.
