SE vs. Chopp top roadster

I was driving down the 80 freeway and I happened to be going 80 mph. I was minding my own business until I saw a fully caged chopped top roadster, this car was a beauty. I was amazed at the lines and contour on the car, so I popped the fifth out and revved as high up as I could to flag the guy. The guy noticed and did similar, we slowed down to about 40 mpg and let there be a huge gap in traffic, lucky for me I was in 3rd and revving low. I have a pacesetter header, a high flow Bonez cat replace with a huge silencer, and pace setter exhaust. I wondered if my car was a match, but no matter, I gunned to poor **** and shifted into 4th once I red lined. I had so much torque going into 4th, I smoked the poor bastard in his expensive ***, stylish car. I however got what I deserved, my SE was pissed at me and snapped the transmission support. I rode home limping. I felt silly but it's my fault, no matter, I may have made him a believer.

I'm guessing he beat the roadster then his own car beat him.

That was funny. Maybe he had a fresh engine and didn't want to blow it racing a 7. Anyway nice kill.

I believe his car was a Cobra, I'm not too sure but it looked nice and it was roll caged without a top. I just thought it was funny when I did it. I killed my own car in the process though. lol. We both slowed down and stayed in the center lanes, letting people pass us. I then flagged the go with my handout the window. He had greater acceleration than me at what looked like we where on the same gear. I rode third until red line and shifted into 4th gear. At that moment I rode faster than he left a huge gap between he and I. He eventually caught up, but by that time I realized that I damaged my transmission. I pulled over the right hand shoulder and parked. I then rolled in 1st, 2nd, and then....3rd choked and made my whole car vibrate more than a woman's vibrator and I simply said..... damn that was fun.... I limped my victorious yet sorry *** to my parking spot and found that my transmission tore its supports and is hitting the transmission well. I will post a pic of the crazy damage as I need to document the work done on my exhaust. Some time today possibly.

"we slowed down to about 40 mpg"

good to conserve gas before a race.

So you raced a Cobra roadster? PLEASE tell me it was the bottom of the barrell 302 powered car and not the 427. Even still, the 302 would probably be more than an SE could handle. If it was a 427- he was toying with you. Period.

Starting a race in 3rd gear at 40 mph will get you behind every time.

My thoughts exactly. Nice race anyway. Too bad about your tranny mounts

I think the driver was just messing with me, I think it was the 427, I usually call them the spyders for their sleek muscle look, Although I know the MR2 is he spyder and is a japanese counterpart of the cobra in the sense that it's fast as hell. All in all, I would of expected to lose since his car was a lot nicer, my car's body isn't up to par with the mods in the engine. I think he was just relaxing and didn't want to embarrass me .

WTF is up with this thread? So, he was toying with you than it is not a kill.

By the way, how many woman's vibrators have you ridden to know what it feels like?

Wow you guys know jack **** about Cobra's.

Anyway unless the car you raced looked like the one below. You didnt' race a Cobra. And unless the driver really didn't know how to drive, you didn't race a Cobra. The car below is only a 347 powered car with Edelbrock RPM heads and an X303 cam and we've taken out Z06's with it from a roll on the freeway. So a little SE would be no problem at all for it. But then again stranger things can happen.

OH ****! IT WAS A COBRA! that's it! it had the exhaust out the sides and the very nice loopy roll bar in the back, as well as an overhead cage. I definately remember the front of that car. It was a sheeny lime green paint job with racing stripes on it. Hey it's San Fran, I've seen crazy MR2's tons of rx-7s, old school porches, **** I own a Beat up Ferrari, it's white and not running well at the moment, but that's what happens when you buy it at 100 bucks. I bought my SE less than a block away from my school. What else is here.... vipers, tons, TONS of new Corvettes, I haven't seen a nice Camaro, or a Nova for that matter, Riverside was abundant with that. I have seen Shelby's and FD's. TONS OF 240SX's!!! I get angry when one rolls up on me, it was my first tuner car, yes tuner car and not enthusiast I did the RB25 swap in my 85...IT WAS A BITCH! I didn't get it completely right, sadly it's in Riverside. Hmm, very lame "gangster" cars with the slammed look and the huge rims. There is an all STI club out here, about 30 STI's....way too many for my taste. My friend owns a decked out Mango! Dang, I wish I had money to throw at cars to make them faster...hahah only if I do the work, it's funner that way.

you really dug a deep hole and then somehow managed to pull the dirt in on yourself while you were at it.

You didn't beat a cobra in a n/a FC and you need to take english classes at the local community college so you don't continue to sound like a retard. I suggest checking out a civic forum if you want to have people understand you and give you props for your cobra 'kill'.
