s4 N/A vs. Sentra SE-R Spec V

This afternoon I'm heading down I-40 to go to work in Chapel Hill. There's hardly a cloud in the sky--a pleasant relief from the overcast conditions of the past week. I've got the sunroof open and I'm cruising at 75 in a 65mph zone. I'm in the far left lane of an interstate that's 3 lanes in each direction.

I'm moving past a truck when I look up into my rearview mirror and realize that some kind of 4 door car is riding my ***--bigtime. He's probably 5 feet from my bumper. I figured it was some kind of shitbox economy car but I didn't recognize the front end.

I decide to get on it a little so I drop it into third. I immediately open up a car length of distance as he's downshifting, but then I continue to pull away slowly until I hit about 100mph or so and shut down, pulling into the middle lane. I probably had at least 3 car lengths of distance between us. I'm slowing down to about 75 again and he goes past me. It was a Sentra SE-R Spec V I believe. It appeared to be stock.

My mods include street port, RB header, straight midpipe, RB duals, SAFC. Dynoed 160whp a year ago on a Dynapack, with a cat still on there.

I'm curious as to how fast you can get in third. My stock n/a convertible can hit just above 80 in third. I think T2romad said he can get up to 90 in third with his T2.

What probably slows those cars down is all the ******* single-letter nomenclature! WTF is it called? A *something* SE-R SpecV-and-now-I-know-my-ABC's-next-time-won't-you-sing-with-me? I couldn't remember the first part. Sylables are so much harder to remember than random letters.

Holy **** they were right! I turned into Timothy Leary!

Yeah I shifted around 7500-7600 and the speedo did read about 95, but you gotta figure it's not totally accurate. So 93-95mph is probably about right. I do have aftermarket wheels though (17's with 225/45/17 tires) so that might affect it slightly.

No presilencer, just a welded 2.5" straight pipe. The whole system is welded together right now, which is a bit of a pain in the ***, but oh well. Honestly, it doesn't sound much different from having the cat on there--maybe a bit more harsh at WOT. I'm not gonna bother spending the money on a presilencer, and I think that's a testament to how well designed the RB mufflers are.
