RX4 vs Blown 5.0
So I took the RX out for a parts run this evening to pick up a crossmember for one of my other projects. I'm trying to hurry home because my headlights went out on me and it's starting to get dark pretty fast. I cross foothill and catch a light and as I'm rolling to a stop I glance to my left and see the same 5.0 that I've been wanting to run since the first time I saw it. It's a late 80's early 90's 5.0 with a blower, drag radials and weld drag stars. Very clean car and sounds the part. He gets all excited and starts telling me about how my car use to be fast back in the day. I told him they still are!!! He said something like, "is that a fact" but I couldn't hear him to clearly as I was down shifting the RX for battle. I Down shifted to 1st and we're around 15mph. He guns it and I respond. I'm bout 1/4 car back and hold him there through 2nd and beginning of 3rd. Real quick run maybe 15-70mph. He slows way down and says that car is pretty quick. I said thanks and we went out seperate ways. I can't wait to get the LSD, 4.56's and Nitrous in this thing. Should be a different story then, but still not bad for a heavy dinosaur.

"Foothill" stood out and I just saw your location. Where by Foothill did you run? Try not to race on Foothill because of all those deputies with little to do. Well, I'm sure you know that.

Here's a pic of the RX when I had it. I've sold the car a while ago now, but it's still on the board somewhere. I kind of miss the car from time to time, but I'm building something a little different now.
