owned a honda, what else is new?

Well guys my car is back, and better than ever. I just wanted to tell you guys a little story of what happened to me last friday. I was driving home and decided to take a little spin around the city before going home, when i come up to a stop light and pull up to a Prelude loaded with rice...hahaha...well i thought he was an H23 non-vtec so i decide to take it easy since i was just out for a stroll, we both take off slow, normal driving conditions, and he starts to accelerate, i'm not gonna let some ricer think he can ditch me, so i do so as well, and dust him, by the end of 2nd i had pulled up to him, and in 3rd i was easily way ahead of him, so i just let off and turn into a road to go home. Apparently after reading a local forum, that car was no H23, it was an H22 vtec engine...i mean i've heard those cars can pull like mad, so i'm kinda proud for dusting a vtec crap honda. here's a pic of my ride.

Not bad, those are around 14.8 in a redneck race. Did it have an exhaust? If he was racing, you should've been able to tell if it were VTEC, H22s sound mean when they cross-over.

couldnt really tell; cause my car is load as hell too...but after reading it on the forum, it was no doubt an H22.

I know how badass they sound, a friend of mine has an h22, and he has a manual vtec switch on it, i can assure you i could recognize that sound.

Random question; does the GSR Integra, putting out 170hp take a (newer) Prelude rated at 200hp?

I know the Type-R Integra's supposedly run a 14.9 stock, but I'm almost positive a Type-R Integra would take the newer Prelude, stock vs. stock...

Anyone?

GSR specs: http://www.edmunds.com/used/2000/acu...enav..6.Acura*

Prelude H22 specs: http://www.edmunds.com/used/2000/hon...enav..6.Honda*

it'd be close...but i think the Prelude would come out on top.

They run the same in a redneck race (Type-R and H22 Prelude).

Damn, whatever happened to driver...

I remember when i was down there, Honda had just started putting the vtech on the Integras...The argument among car guys was Twin Cam toyotas VS Vtech'ed Hondas. At the begining Toyotas were on top but we all know what happened...lol A rotary smoked them both!
