I would say emotional pleasure and/or spiritual growth. I consider my marriage an investment, but I don't really recieve anything monetary for it's value. Only love, security, and sense of self.

I guess it's all perspective.

I have to agree with that. "Investing" money in a sports car is generally a "non economic" investment in something that is intended to give you pleasure. Sort of like spending money on a woman with the hope that there will be a good "return"
