me vs cobra vs z06 (bad video)

Couple weeks ago, I raced my buddy in a 480hp Cobra and my other buddy in a Z06 vette with I think cams and bolt ons. we did a 40-140 pull on side by side. They had the camera on the wrong setting, but I am all the way on the left. I am getting tired of these V8 cars getting the jump on me, I may have to go to a twin turbo setup and see if i can drop my speel times... Gonna try a different manifold soon too. Still it doesnt take me long to catch up..

I am working on getting a camera in the car so hopefully better videos soon

You're tired of the V8's getting the jump on you, yet you enjoy killing cars with 100hp or more disadvantage. Got it.

i enjoy killing cars that cost 3+ times what i have in mine.

there arent many fast cars around here, i'll take what i can get

anyway, you saying you don't like to win? I'd enjoy killing a stock honda civic if they were dumb enough to race me

i have the answer too your problems. Brake Boost. here is some video of what it can do against those v8's. also the cobra dynoed just under 550whp and the evo is around 450whp.

first vid no brake boost.

these 2 vids are with brake boosting.

A honda civic isn't worth my gas. Last race I did with my boosted C5 was against a boosted Mustang claiming 550 to my 485. Closest matchup I've been able to find out here. Otherwise I don't bother. If my FD was running better, I'd be matching it up to stock C5's and such. The 240sx with stock boost, about the same. Though I don't mind trying to race faster cars with a slower car, just to see how it stacks up.

The money issue is kind of lame, when you can throw a V8 in a Yugo and make it insanely fast for less than 10k total. Hell buy a 2 thousand dollar Fox body and throw a twin turbo kit in. See what I mean? Different strokes for different folks.

yeah, but my car has the power of those types of cars, and still handles better than most anything and is daily drivable.

if you think about it, money is the only thing that separates classes of cars. Give me 10k, I can make a car that is moderately fast in whatever venue it is meant for. give me 100k, it will be much faster. Thats why they have such tight restrictions on racing classes, because if they didnt, the team with the most money would almost always win. On street cars it is different because the owners of the cars have different skills and preferences, and the budgets are much lower.

Bring that car down this way sometime next spring. I have a couple buddies with a terminator, a turbo crx, and a few other quick cars. You could always race justchil(andy from wvstreets) that would be a pretty good race i think.
