Question killed by insurance company or the law?

Anyone ever get killed by their insurance company or someone trying to pursue legal action against you for posting incriminating things--you know, video, pictures, race results--on internet forums? I was wondering this the other day. Mods, please move this thread if appropriate.

Thanks

they would have to identify you first, and while the internet isn't anonymous for most people , they would likely be breaking laws by atemting to do so.

Hah, until you get caught and thrown in jail. I love mexico though, great place to visit, eat, and surf... not so sure about racing though (unless you're Baja 1000 or whatever it is bound)

Ha ha good old mexico… I used to street race in Tijuana a long, long time ago.

A few years back a buddy and his brother were on his MR2 going from Tijuana to Ensenada via the toll road, going about 130 MPH. When out of the blue he came up on a road block with tons of cops. Apparently there was a cop car behind him who had been chasing him for a while but couldn’t catch up. So he called for back up. My buddy had no idea.

Anyway he offered the cops $500 usd to let him go but the reply was “sorry, just too many people involved on this one”. So they threw him in a cop car and had his brother follow them in the MR2 and off to the TJ police station to pay his fine. The grand total was $100 usd lol.

Haha, no...I mean you need to SAY in your post that you were in Mexico, or that it's just a made up story, or a dream, etc.

Thanks Mike, it’s all Steve’s handy work right there. And yeah I can’t wait to get it back on the road.

Well Steve said he was going to put the engine in during the weekend and be done with my car this week. I told him that he was just getting my hopes up and that I believed he was being sadistic, evil, and not very nice at all.

I've heard of motorcyclists from Texas getting charged with evasion and what not because of posts they made on the internet. There has to be other evidence to go along with it though since anything you write online could all be made up.
