They both run 12s.
Driver not car.

im not understanding, you're talking about the RB26? if they were in cars produced in the US, that and toyota's inline 6 would be the most dominant..

and i said this was my opinion, yes im a big fan of that engine..

No. I have stock fuel so I'm limited at 500rwhp. I really don't see the need for anymore hp. I don't want to be another supra "dyno queen". I run my car on the street and on pump fuel. I could get more with fuel and a bigger turbo but that means more lag. **** that ****. Alot of the big turbo guys are going with the smaller setups because you can drive your car and actually have fun.

My understanding is that the rb26 doesnt stack up to the 2jz? Maybe I am wrong but I am pretty sure you have to build the rb26 to make the numbers the 2jz makes stock? Correct me if I am wrong

well yeah and no, the RB26dett matches well with its awd system and four wheel steering found in the GTR..basically the engine itself is good just like the 2jz, except the 2jz is more torque and more prone in receiving more mods because their available around here..i mean stock vs stock, its pretty much undetectable as to whats more powerful..the 2jz is a better engine but if the rb26 was available in the us, that and the 2jz would be the most dominant..but since its not, the 2jz is the most dominant IMO..

I was trying to find a 3 rotor at one time, that would be the only way I would own fd.

Im just gonna stir something up cuz I can...The difference between a 400, 600, 800, and 1000hp Supra, is about half a second on the drag strip. And the amount of broken parts at the end...

(Disclaimer...in jest, not seriousness. They can be fast, just need the right supporting mods, tires and trans especially.)

SIGH

Here i go again correcting people who talk out of their ***.

The reason why you find soo many high HP supras running shitty times are 2 things. DRIVER AND LACK OF TRACTION.

If you're putting down 800hp, you're putting down 800hp, simple as that. Its HOW you put it down, thats another question, it has nothing to do with the car. The car is already producing the power.

And no the trans will not break. Getrag 6spd's found in TT supras are capable of holding OVER 1000hp. If anything, the diff will shatter or maybe the axles but even then thats unlikely.

Get a good driver and good tires and you're set.

Right and thats why when you have 800hp Supra's they really shine on the highway. The first three gears are too short for that much hp.Of course there can be exception's depending if the person is willing to setup the suspension/tires right.

The 6spd matched with a large single match PERFECTLY together. And yes thats why they shine on the highway.

Thats another reason why you only need 800hp to beat a 1 liter bike. There was a 950RWHP supra that DESTROYED, not beat, i mean WALKED a busa. Thats a 1300 cc bike, back then the fastest production bike made. And it only took 950RWHP out of that supra.

Its the gearing. Gearing is near perfect for the car and its top end.
