Thumbs up A kill.... sort of... fd vs CBR600

Well this isnt really a 'kill' cause my car would obviously loose to a tuned CBR600 straight-up, but I had fun so here goes:

So I was stopped at the last light comming out of Westbank the other day, and a beautifull Orange CBR600 with black deakled on flames stoppes by me...

I start revving my engine and I can see his glf on the back of his bike give him the thumbs up. lol It was on!

The perpindicular traffic lights go yellow... then red... i start revving it up... green! I launch it nice and easy, bam second i start WOT, third winding my FD right out! I look back at mid-4th gear and OMFG he's 3 lengths behind me?!!? He was gaining right as I had to slow down cause we where approaching a van in my lane... but I was amazed my car could do that... it was my first race in the FD too!!!! :O

not a word of a lie! The only thing I can think of is he was scared of dumping his glf at WOT on that death machine, so he didnt give it his all. lol

good thing you qualified that post with "sort of". Obviously he couldn't really get into it with his girlfriend on the back.

A bike's launch and up to the first 1/8 of a mile is where they really murder cars. A car has the advantage in top speed where wind resistance comes into play. So basically, yeah, he would've handed you your *** if the girl hadn't been on the back.

I raced a crotch rocket with the girlfriend on the back from ~30 mph to ~80 mph once. He started out a little behind but went WOT first. He pulled ahead for just an instant from the jump and we were even for a few seconds until I started pulling pretty good and he gave up. I got a thumbs up and a smile from the girlfriend at the next light. Just the extra weight of the girlfriend makes a big difference on a bike not even counting the extra caution.

I'm sorry, but if I were in your situation, I wouldn't have provoked the race at all with someone on the back. If a rider is alone and wants to put his/her own life at risk, then I'd run.

if u launch a a bike with a passenger on the back. both of u will end up on your *** due to the heavily weight rear end of the bike
