I think it just showed the immaturity on both this forum and the charger forum....not sure how that could be viewed as "a success."

Idk who FD-less was but he made us look like we're a bunch of babies.

Its clear by the original post how uninformed those guys are, twin turbo on race gas 22psi and got smoked by a SRT charger by 15 lengths!?!

That right there, should you just laugh and move along.

I dont get how a person, can drop 35k on a 39434983948lbs sedan, with a v8, and think its hot **** because it has torque. Wow, my company truck can pull a 1000lbs trailer too and that **** will prob run 17s. Those new chargers are a joke, a 4 door sedan that doesnt even offer a manual tranny. I would have gotten the jeep SRT8 which is a ton better looking than that moving box of **** they call the new "charger". Or should i just call the 6cyl chargers piece of *****?? lol. What a muscle car, when they offer 6cyl for the people who cant get the 8s lol.

Chargers are heavy *** boats that are good for straight line, thats the american way of racing anyway. Put that car on a road course and it will go right into the dirt on the first corner.

So basically those guys are arguing on who has the biggest engine which is obvious that they do.

"O no, i was in the wrong gear, i should have put it to 2 instead of 3, then maybe i could have beaten that FD by 20 car lengths instead of 15!!!"

its irritating when people dont know what their talking about. especially when the guy who beats a fictional FD with 22psi on twin turbo setup has the audacity to add it to his list of kills.

i know i shouldnt let it get to me but damn, some people have alot of nerve...

He's probably some sad man in his 40's who has never raced anyone. He waits and waits for a sunny day to put on his STR hat and go outside and drive calmly to the market so he can park obnoxiously and try to show off. He makes slick comments to people about his "beast" and then drives home doing the speed limit and makes these posts. He is probably **** terrified of the though of no traction control.

well.. we all know that a TT RX-7 cant run 22 psi.. regardless. So he obviously has no idea what he's talking about.

i thought the thread was interesting, until i came to the part where the guy jumped in about his viper beating a FD... hhmm.. lets see.. we have a $75,000 car.. vs $15,000 car... WHEW!! thats a tough one.. thats like bragging about beating up a kid w/ down syndrome. You just dont do it.

Hey, motor city muscle.
I don't know if anyone (?) is claiming that a stock 7 will beat a stock charger in a straight line. If they are...maybe tey shouldn't be.

Perhaps the later model 7 (1999-2002) that never made it to the U.S would be quicker then a charger, but not the u.s specified models. (I have a japanese spec 2001 model 7, which has a number of upgrades over the u.s models, and is supposed to be good for a low 13 second quarter stock).

But I do think that in a curved line the result would be reversed, and most people on both forums would probably agree on that.

However, imagine if you came on our forum and saw a post saying that a stock 7 had beaten a charger that had three turbos and that the 7 had won the race by 15 cars.
Firstly you would think....the charger that was beaten cannot even exist, and if it did exist, it would win that particular race easily. Much the same as a 22psi twin turbo 7 cannot exist, and if it did it would win a race with a stock charger easily.

I personally like my RX7, it is quicker than a stock charger, but then it is also quicker than a stock RX7. Hahaha. I can also appreciate all sorts of other cars, including your charger!

Adam, and I would agree with you, and be very interested in your japanese only model 2001 - I'd like to race it at the track someday.... As would most people on the Chargers forums.
We do appreciate all kinds of cars over there as well. I think you'd find that most Charger forum posters are car guys who have owned more vehicles than just their Chargers. You'd find the majority of their opinions is that 'hey, let's race - if I lose, i lose, but just racing is the point'. From what I saw, your boy came on way too strong and arrogant, and did not relent even when given a few chances to do so. Not my call, came in 11th hour.
There are some 'fanboys' on every forum, but I have found that Charger forums actually has the least. And I've been on many different forums.
Anyhoo, I'm just glad the USA allows cars over 200hp to exist - for now...
So, tell me what kind of HP does your car make?

My car is a 2001 bathurst type R. It is the car that mazda produced to celebrate their victories over the porsche and BMW factory teams in the australian bathurst race. I am in australia, so no racing me! Except for internet racing. My car came with about 320bhp stock, and weighs in at about 2700 pounds. (though like all jap produced cars has a claimed 280bhp).

These power and weight figures mean that a charger and it should be around the same. Mine is making about 110hp at the wheels more than it did when it was stock, and should be good for a low 12 second quarter mile (i have not run it, but others with the same h.p run about that time). It has aftermaret suspension and without being a total dick, I would imagine that on a twisting track the result would be 1. RX7, 2. daylight, 3. charger. On a drag strip I am sure it would be closer. I could be wrong, we don't even have new charger's in australia!

I have raced the HSV's that we have down here, with the 400+bhp LS motors, and to be honest it is not a very close race at all. But the comparing modified to stock is probably unfair.

There aren't too many countries in the world that don't allow cars with over 200hp to exist. Japan's laws are not against hp, but more about advertised hp. Many, or even most, japanese cars with an advertised 280hp have more.

I rememeber reading an aussie magazine with a stock "280hp" R34 GTR which dynoed the same as a stock 400hp LS motor.

the OP on the charger forum is full of ****... that fd prob trying to make a right turn. He saw it...and gun the gas.....went on straight line....(15 cars length)

And....yeeeha...i beat fd (22psi???) trying to make a right turn by 15 cars....

My car isnt even gonna run that much boost....I dont think any similar mod charger as the OP will spank me 15 cars..

Bigtime!!!

When you Charger guys say track, what track are you talking about. The one that goes straight for a 1/4 mile or a real track. a road course like MAZDA Laguna Seca.

I would love to see a SRT8 fly through the corksrew.
I bet a Miata will out handle it, Ive seen miatas fly through the corksrew .
Sheesh they race mx5 there all the time.
