FD vs. Swapped Civic Hatch (video)
1993 RX-7 vs. 1991 B16a Civic Hatch (128 MPH shutdown)

I had intended on going out to race only a turbo Eclipse Spyder, after putting a bus or two length on that guy with an easy launch, I came back to the finish line and everybody was suggesting I race my good friend Rob's 91 Civic Hatch. We had always helped each other out on our cars and all that good stuff but it never occured to us that we should line them up. Well after 2 years, we finally got to see the results. Although the cold weather makes my car feel like a totally different car, I am still weeding out my 9th boost leak. I am just going to give up and ordering the Fighter's Garage boost leak tester so I can finally put this lack of top end power to rest.
Mod list on the RX7 :
Hoosier Drag Radials
3" Downpipe
3" Hi-flow cat
2.25" Opak racing straight through muffler
Hose Techniques silicone vacuum lines
New twin-turbos
Mod list on the Civic hatch:
B16a motor swap
GSR cams
2" exhaust, no cat
Mugen ECU

Well I was hoping you guys would be able to differentiate the sound of an FD from a Honda motor
But really, his hatch is pretty damn quick, he just has traction issues with the whole pulling weight instead of pushing it thing, heh.

man cool kill i guess but in regards to your boost leak you can build a tester for way cheaper than you could ever buy one, just go to home depot and get some pvc pipe and then go and get a couple of air fittings and a gauge and your good to go. Home made leakdown testers ftw man. I can do leak down tests with mine (compression test) look for boost leaks, look for leaks in water pumps, you name it and i can pressurize it with my little beauty and it only cost me like 20 bucks total if that. Its been too long since i made it
