Fd Vs R32gtr
Stoped at a set of lights last night with the missus in the car and a half tank of gas. 1 car infront and an R32 infront of that.
Green light we all pull away as per normal. Just after lights theres a slip way to houses so the car between turns off. Right clear road no other cars and I see the R32 is waiting for me. Its on.
I boost up in 3rd next to him slightly pass him and back off, Door to door now, He guns it, I gun it. We are even for 2 sec I start to pull. Faster and faster he starts to drop back, he changes to 4th, bam instant 1car gap then I change to 4th, bam 2 car gap now. We pull for a few more sec up to about 190kph or 200kph (118mph - 124mph), It was off the clock so not sure. Around there some where.
We button off and I need to turn off so I tuck in behind him and He turns off to. Turned out he just lives down the road from me.
We had a little chat on the side of the road. Great guy, he saw me and said he was saposed to turn off where the car between us did but he kept going hopeing for a race. What a great guy. He gave mean props to the 7 as his bro used to own 1.
Anyway he was runing stock single turbo on 12psi with full exhaust system, intake and FMIC. I was runing 10psi GT35R and all support mods.
Great race, big ups to the R32 for keeping a 2 car gap in 4th gear. Great race due to his car beeing the light weight model. Fun fun.
Just to share power difference, he runs a 14 sec ET with that setup, I run a 13sec on 10psi with full wheel spin to 8500rpm in 1st, sideways in 2nd and only get traction in 3rd & 4th with a trap of 116mph.
First kill in Single setup, still use stock 7 & 9 plugs for everyday traffic driving work and back stuff. On the DYNO we had 11s in doing 16psi put down 470RWHP on 98RON pump gass 70% duty cycle.

Well if you do the math with the trap speed i get it comes out to 336RWHP
Weight 2755lb or 1250kg with me and a full tank.
ET 13.03
Trap 116mph
Here is the link to the equation
http://www.dsm.org/tools/calchp.htm
I did 4 runs down the strip.
13.05 all traped at 116mph
13.4
13.3

on 10psi with Good year eagle F1 255 rears from a slow roll in 1st gear if you plant it the wheels light up instlantly, keep it floored you move forward quickly but spin fast to 8500rpm, hook 2nd it dose the same thing unitll you get 3rd then it grips. On 16psi I never floored 1st and 2nd from low speed. But if you start a pull in 3rd at 2500rpm it hits 16psi at 3800rpm then pulls hard till 6000rpm where it breaks loose and spins the wheels to 8500rpm then I back off cos its moving to fast and to scary to change to 4th cos I dont want to spin and go sidways at that speed. Need better tires.

the 13.4 and 13.3 were slow launch trying not to spin but it dosent work. I Found that if i just spun it up through 1st and 2nd it went faster.
The 13.03 was full sideways drifting down the strip in 2nd gear. Unitll 3rd where it came straight and got traction.

and two...a gt35r makign 336 rwhp at 10psi is pretty high i think, also making 470 rwhp on 16 psi is high.
net net i think you're a story teller.
also u should know that wheel spin can inflate your trap speed. so "drifting" down the 1/4 strip may give u a trap that is misleading.

Ok then, I have an FD that is the Type RB-S, No rear window wipers. I have taken out the back seats that was 10kg worth. I dont have that heavy fiberglass bar in the front cos it dosent fit and I may have miss calculated the weight.
I have tein flex coilovers in and had the car professionaly set up for track and re-corner balanced back to 50/50 split. It weighed in a 1165kg with a 1/4 tank gas.
I weigh 75kg. So thats 1240kg so far. Say fuel is about a 1kg per liter, so my car takes 76L but we have 1/4 of that already. So 1165kg - 19kg for 1/4 fuel is 1146kg.
Now Car is 1146kg + Me 75kg + fuel 76Kg = 1297kg= 2860Lb
If you dont belive that well thats not my problem.
Hey I will show you my DYNO graph if you dont belive the car makes 470RWHP
My turbo is a GT35/40 0.70 AR compressor and 1.06AR turbine on a very large extended port and doweld motor with 3mm seals. 550CC prim and 1680CC 2ndry.
An no wheel spin will not make the trap speed higher cos I only spin to the end of 2nd, 3rd and 4th still have to pull the car to the line and they pull it over at 116mph. There is no way wheel spin will make a higher trap speed. You are loosing traction and not moving forward. Also the drag stip dose not read your speedo it has its own calc. I will post my slips to prove to you that even my 13.3 was over 100mph with no wheel spin at all.
**** why bother with people on this thing, **** i can see why some people get pisssed of on here with no belivers. I will just have to take a fricken cam corder next time.

whats a Turbo V?
actually all the Sklyine GT-Rs from the R32 up are twin turbo stock.they all run the RB26DETT the TT stands for twin turbo the only difference between the R32 R33 and R34 RB26DETT motors is how the engine is managed. he porbably swaped from twins to single turbine.

I AM NOT CALLLING BS on you beating a slow car dude. i am calling bs on your weight that u quoted (which u did bs on) and your power level. come on.
talk to some people that have some drag racign experience. spinning the tires like mad does inflate your trap.
WAIT A MIN WAIT A MIN. i just reread your post.....are u 13yrsold? talking about "Also the drag stip dose not read your speedo it has its own calc.". dude are u for real?

Hey fair enough, I know what I have I know what it dose and I dont realy care what you think.
I might not understand the workings of a drag strip, dont realy see how it can read off your cars speedo if all its doing is working out how long it takes you to get to the end and traps your speed when you pass the line with something electronic like a beam or what ever they use.
I know that if you spin your wheels standing still the speedo shows your speed even if you dont move. So I dont see how getting traction for 3/4 of the strip and actualy accelerating to the speed I am traping can give a false reading.
If you care to explain go ahead. Also if it will make you feel better I will go to a truck stop and weigh my car for you with me and full tank to prove how light it is to you. Dont forget I dont have an america version FD, I own an X Jap model. I dont have all the emission crap on my car like you do. Its got full trim but no rear seats and some fucken light weight wheels.

the motor only runs between 10 and 12psi in traffic on 7 and 9 plugs. I also have water injection. My car never goes over 88deg C water temp or over 30C air temp in traffic.
I will be putting 11s in shortly and lean it out so they dont foul up in traffic like they did before.

I can see Im going to have to take alot of video footage to prove stuff on this forum. Will film the weigh in, the next dyno run and all my drag runs plus track runs.
