I dont see the rx7 taking him in 2 and 3rd, but i do see him catching up in 4th gear as stated in the original post going from 2-4th gear. And if the guy has the mods that he says he has, he should be pushing 330hp. Maybe he wasnt a good driver. hehehe J/K

Next time you see him, ask him if he has his car tuned? if not tell him to PM me, and i can do it or send him in the right direction for more power.

Have any questions cruise on over to www.EvolutionM.Net
Yes, we're in Australia, but, both of our cars are grey import JDM models.

Stock Evo's weigh more than 200kg in excess of the RX7 and (the Evo) dyno with less power... Stock Vs Stock, an Evo has no chance, however old mate's evo isn't stock, and neither is mine.

His car is untuned, but so is mine.

Reading lots of posts on here it seems that in general america horses are a little smaller than australian horses. That is to say that the same cars in the u.s seem to dyno higher power numbers than cars in australia.

^Who's horses? Not my horses.

EDIT: Also, next time rotatech shows himself, I'm contemplating putting his name on the National Man/Boy Love mailing list.

LOL Figures a texan would say that. :P

TEXAS The only thing that comes outta texas is steers and ....other livestock.:P

Seriously though we get shafted on imported cars. Usually several HP down from the same cars in foreign countries.

It does well for straight lines from a dig and on courses where handling is important... But from highway rolls. It disappoints
At 60mph the evo is out already out of its powerband running on stock turbo. Bring it down to about 50mph, and see if the results are the same. Guaranteed he will pull a bit until the turbo runs out of steam. Remember the the stock turbo get full boost at or around 3500rpm. Then tapers greatly from there down to about 14-15psi, also 80mph is redline one a evo8. Once again if the evo has not been flashed his intake/exhaust are doing him no good.

But good kill nether the less. Sucks yall get Grade D Imports. Send your buddy my way, ill hook him up with a flash tune.

nice run. My friend owns a Evo9 w/full tenabe exhaust (if I spelled it right anyway), cams, intake, boost controler (23-24 psi). Damn thing is fast. Cant wait till I get my fd Back to run with him, although Im not sure I will beat him. But he does have a system in there so maybe that huge subwoofer will weigh him down a bit for me All I have on my car is exhaust, intake, boost controller as well. So I assuming I will lose but we will see of course I will opt not to race him from a dig ;p

Nice kill, and your lucky!! to own a series 8!!!
