The entire Santa Maria Corvette Club

AdamC and I showed up to the "Vapor Trail Vettes" club autocross on Saturday at the Santa Maria, Ca airport and took 3rd overall. 1st was a Subaru, 2nd a Porsche 911( both on race tires) and my FD (me) was 3rd on street rubber (Falken Azenis) and Adam was 4th overall. We dusted all of the vettes by a large margin. So we killed about 15 vettes all in one day. A grand kill it was.

Greg and I each took turns filming each other. Maybe he can post the video. My runs were uneventful. However, Greg did provide some entertainment for everyone by looping it a full 360 degrees in one of the turns. The funniest thing about that was that I told my co-worker (on camera) that he was going to do it, and on the very next run, he did almost exactly where I predicted

Greg did get the last laugh on me by having a time faster than mine. The reason he was faster was that he got an extra run, and was allowed to take it on hot tires. Otherwise, both of our fastest times were 36.0X. I'm not sure who may have been a 100th of a second faster.

Most of the vette drivers were not very good. We both enjoyed beating up on them

Greg's car was a little strange to me, as I had not driven it hard before. He just put in new suspension, and got new tires. I suspect that his tires are stickier than mine, so I might have been a touch slower in my car.

What tires did you get?
