02 WRX vs. 93 single RX7
Hey this kill happened about 3 years ago but I am going to post it anyway. This was back when I had my WRX and I really didn't know too much about RX7s. Anyways my buddy (Cowsniper) had a 93 touring and we would always make fun (friendly jokes) of each other's cars (He would say stuff like the 7 can't lose). My mods were MBC set at 17.5psi, CAI, ACT Clutch (brand new) and Catback. His mods were ported motor, nippondenso FP, TO4S running on the stock fuel system at 5 psi also with the stock intercooler with the PFC basemap. Anyway, one day when we were leaving the school parking lot we happened to be right next to each other. We pulled out onto a main 4 lane road and started pulling on each other. Everytime he went by me his open wastegate deafened me. So about 1 mile down this road the stoplight turns red and we pull up side by side. This is where it all went down.
I still hadn't broken in my clutch but I said oh well. Light turns green and I launch hard at 5.5k, whereas he didn't lauch really hard. By the end of first I am a good car length and a half infront of him. By second gear he starts catching back up. End of second gear comes fast and his front bumper is right at my rear bumper. I am in the right lane and he is in the left. Then out of nowhere a minivan pulls out a few hundred feet infront of me. Here was the look on my face
. I was looking straight at death. By now we were easily doing 80-85 mph. I slammed on the brakes hard because I couldn't go left. The 7's front bumer was at my rear door. I came within a few feet of rearending the minivan - damn that was close. I finally went around it and caught up to my buddy and he said **** I guess the 7 can lose. If the minivan wouldn't have been there he would have beaten me by about 90-95 cause my AWD kills the top end.

haha... haters.
I had a buddy who got the NEW WRX!! right when it first came out. It was hilarious, after school for like two weeks after he got it, there'd be like a crowd of like 10 people crowded around it.
It was so fast at the time... (I was rolling a stock '87 SE).

im just stating the obvious here, i was just informed the other day that boxer engines have a header/exhaust manifold that funnels to an uppipe, which has a cat in it. then through the turbo then to the downpipe which also has a cat in it, then to the main cat and out the back. the point i was making is that if the cat in the uppipe breaks or shatters you get to buy a brand new turbo, bad times

Nope, SOA gets to buy you one
Also, there is one Cat on the up pipe and 2 on the downpipe for the WRX.
hahaha, i found out later the motor was barely ported. Stock PFC map with fuel dumped in everywhere. AFRs were LOW. But anyways, that was funny.
im running a little more than 5 lbs now heh
