Why oh why would I ever think about going down this road again?
Hello, I just joined this site and don't know why I would even consider an old RX7 while being the present owner of two trouble free BMWs. I've own 5 RX7s in the past. Unlike BMWs, the engines gave out, and I would simpy replace the cars. I've considered the Z4, but not even the mighty Z4M feels as balanced as a RX7 FD. But the lack of relative reliability in the 15 year old RX7 makes a purchase seem foolish. What should I do?

Don't think about it too much, I just sold my reliable DD now that I'm much closer to work and took the FD plunge myself! And as long as you don't get rid of both the BMWs you'll always have a backup plan....u can do et!

I guess if you have a passion for something, follow it no matter the cost.
I had to get rid of my reliable car in order to make my future FD possible.
Like most guilty pleasures in life, they come with a cost. But the reward is well worth it.

There's a guy in my building that has owned a Toyota Supra turbo for the last 12 years. Everytime I enter the parking garage, I glance at his car and think of the day when I might purchase a FD.
