Hey everyone my names pat and im from old brige, new jersey and heres my story.
I used to drive a dodge neon srt-4 and after having it for a month i lost my job and couldnt afford it anymore. I just recently bought an 1987 mazda rx-7 and was browsing the web for any tips/ advice before i do my transmission swap/ replacement and i stumbled upon this website. Welcome, Pat! Is your 2nd gen a TII or NA? Are you swapping from auto to manual or does it just have a blown tranny?

Haha thanks man and its naturally aspirated, and I'm just doing a manual replacment the tranny was blown, I'm also thinking about doing an engine swap but I can't make my mind up between 20b or a 2jz

 

I've done the swap and I have to say it's not as hard as it seems. just pedals and plumbing...

Do you guys know any cheep places to get a 20b I know getting them imported is cheapest, but the only things I can find are 20b rebuild kits for the 20b I don't have haha, everything else I find are american companys where its cost around 6000 for one
