CA What's up everybody

I'm Larry, I'm from Orangeburg, SC but I'm living in Stockton, CA now. I went to school to be an automotive technician and welding/metal working but so far I can only find a job at a tire shop. I like all kinds of car's but I've been into rotary engines ever since I fell in love the RX-7 about five years ago. I never rebuilt one myself before but I've assisted someone else at doing so. I'm willing to learn more and more every day. I have ALOT of projects I want to do involving rotary engines.

Well, Larry, thanks for taking the time to register and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club! You sound like the ideal candidate to starting your own rotary shop once you get a few rebuilds under your wing, so start socking some money away for that day when you roll into the bank to get the SBA loan to open a shop!

welcome, if you want to make money in the automotive industry stick with
European cars.
not many rotary cars in the state and some are swapping out for piston motors.
good luck

Fd owner here in Stockton

Larry,
I am new to the FD scene. I just picked up a completely stock FD with 54k original miles, guy I knew moved out of the country and had to sell it, of course it is a 5 speed, currently has a low rough idle and a small oil leak, was wondering since we both live here in Stockton if you could take a look at this or know of any one who know these cars here in Stockton.

This car is fun and fast and people tell me they can be much faster. I am starting to feel the need for speed so thanks for any help out there guys.

Welcome Larry, i have to agree with jspecusa, rotary market is small in us. If you wanna make money being a tech, you gotta own or run a shop. I been working on Mercedes since 2006. If you can figure out computers on Mercedes, you can probably work on other brands. So my advise to u, save as much as you can ti open up your own shop. I myself is trying to open up my own shop in next couple years.

Its nice to know that you are so into rotary engines Larry.

I actually bought my FD out there in Sacramento, and I visit my family out in Stockton all the time.

I would love to meet up some time so we can chat about our cars and go for a drive.

Hopefully you can save up enough money to open that shop.
