NV Whats up!

After a while of using the forum’s vast amount of resources I have finally registered, and I probably wouldn't have If I did not run into a weird issue.

I have an 84 GSL I bought about a year and a half ago. When I first turned in on I saw gas was leaking from the accelerator pump, from that point on I took one thing off and another. I soon decided I was going to rebuild the engine, fix the paint, fix the interior, and many other things on the car to the point where everything was touched. Now here I am, I started the engine about a month ago and idled just fine (until i messed with the throttle sensor LOL, this is for another post)

Anyways this has been a dream car that I thought would never come across. I have never driven the car yet, though I love this car to death, and plan to keep this car until I die.

I guess joining this forum was inevitable and I’m glad I did.

I’ve owned it for 1 year and a half now.

I don’t have a current picture, but when its done I’ll come back post it up.

This was taken back in December 30th 2018 at 3:44pm lol

I was in process of fixing the paint, as you can see the original color was the cream color. I wish I had bought the car that way, though the previous owner had painted the car like in the second picture. I could have painted the car with the trim still on the car, but the paint job was done cheaply (flaking off, runs, weird spots) and the trim adhesive was old. Eventually it would have fallen off.

Now the car has it original Black trim, and with the paint underneath the trim color matched so that I can put it back on the car properly. Same thing with the emblems all of them were painted over.

I know some people like to delete there trim but I like the factory look.

And if your wondering just in case lol ( I mean someone asked me about my car so I must )

The engine looked like this, which I deemed not worthy of running any longer

And after sometime of getting everything I need (tools AND $$$$) and getting the parts resurfaced. I was slowly but surely putting this car back the way it should be.

I like the color and I'm with you on liking the original color, which is simply called Light Beige. I have an 84 GSL-SE in that color. But they did seem to do a good job with the maroon color! I think its a great project and once you're done and driving the car, you will love the car even more!

From the pictures it probably does seem ok, but in person the paint has its issues... but your right, the paints not bad and the color choice was good. Now back to weekend grind to make it run right
