i don't know the regs in az but in states where a safety inspection is required but not an emissions test you can hollow out the cat, but you still have to have it on there when they inspect the car

i got a pretty good deal on my rx7 too. i bought an integra 5spd 2dr for 500 dollars and traded it for an 86 rx7 that needs a water pump. i always liked rx7's. but about 2 weeks ago i really started to favor them and in 5 days i got one. everyone thinks im dumb for trading my integra though. id rather have a 5spd rx7. all though the integra was pretty fast. the rx7 is hopefully faster. hah
