My name is West, from Dayton, Ohio
My college-age son and I are working on a 1983 RX7, a relatively low-mileage and totally rust-free example. It is mostly stock, but someone installed an aftermarket radio. We found an original type replacement, and are trying to figure out how to make it work properly (speakers).
Things we have already worked on include replacing the idler arm bushing, and we just completed a complete front brake job, replacing calipers, rotors brake pads and tie rod ends. Rear drum brakes are very good.
Our next project is to replace the left rear axle, as it seems to be "growling" a little bit, and we notice some wobbling. We will be searching for a replacement axle asap.
We have found some very good "how to" information and look forward to participating more.
