Welcome the RX-7 noob!

Hello everyone yes I admit... I have been lurking around in here for a while, just flagrantly stealing, stealing info, ideas and knowledge.

Finally I pulled the trigger and bought a 1993 base FD with AT because of my back condition.

It was sitting for a bit and knew it was going to need rescuing, so I had it towed to IR performance in New Jersey.

I want to say...

Thank you to this community.

I went to look at the car and take pictures of it for my insurance co.

When I pulled into the parking lot... I jizzed me pants seeing all of the georgous RX-7s there.

I knew I took my car tobthe right place.

I look forward to sharing my rebuild experience and yes I can drive a manual in case your wondering 🤣😂🤣.

Thnx for having me.

Welcome to the forum!! The car looks like an excellent restoration candidate and I'll be looking forward to hearing about its progress! Do you know any of the car's history?

I'm the second owner, it was sitting for a bit so I'm gonna need to paint it or wrap it. Its all original though I'm psyched!

I actually wouldn't be surprised if that paint shined up nicely with just a compound and polish. It is single stage, so you might want to try that route before a repaint or wrap.

The body looks straight, good panel gaps, should be a great restoration candidate.

I honestly prefer these cars to be original! I think that's a big plus. Once the car is painted, it will look brand new!

I got a call from some dude named Christopher stating "he heard" I needed a new RX7 engine and he would sell me one compression tested to 120 psi for 1300 bucks with free shipping.

Oh and if I gave him an echeck immediately he would knock 50 bucks off. I'm considering reaching out to a few of my boys at CTTF at 1pp to help me find this lil bitch.

I believe our posts are readable by anybody on the web. We all need to bare that in mind when posting.

Have to watch out for "WTB" posts. Scammers will try to get you to reply to random email accounts.

All posts are readable other than the hidden mod/admin section. That section is not accessible to anyone without modification or admin privileges. Here's hoping you find out who contacted you.
