WA here (83 GS)
Just picked this up. Practically stole it. All stock minus the wheels and a stereo. Anyways, hi all. Ask away if you wanna know anything

Only just saw this sorry for the late reply. I have stacks and stacks of paperwork on the car. 2 owners prior to me, making me the third. Both owned it for around 20 years each, minus a few on one of them I don't recall which. I've got the original warranty paperwork, dealer window sticker, basically everything that has been to do with the car since it was purchased in '82. The motor was swapped, no paperwork but was done 10+ years ago, the original wheels are paired with brand new studded winter tires, and the stereo is aftermarket with a 1300w amp + 12" sub wired in, but thats going away soon, I can't stand it to be honest with you. Wayyy to much bass for me.
I definitely prefer the respray over the original color, the bottom of the hood holds the original color still. Surface rust in the engine bay, as well as the rear end. Took a wire wheel to a small section in each area, took it all right off. Today I swung by my family mechanic who just so happens to have raced FB 7's back in the day and knows a pretty fair amount about rotaries. Sent me in the right direction for an issue I've been facing as well as some places to look for parts and what not.
Other than typical things you'd find wrong with an almost 40 year old vehicle theres nothing majorly wrong with it. I mean I drove it 350 miles home and the only thing I discovered was the fuel filter needed to be replaced, big shocker there. The fuel and temp gauges need to be either fixed or re-calibrated... and I'm spending the evening working on the rear brakes since I can hear a low howling(?) noise coming from back passenger. It sounds like something is rolling around in there. Anyways, as soon as I'm allowed to post in the big boy forums here I'll be making a build thread to join the many already found around here.
