Unexpected ownership!
I had this really poor beaten half to death FC (88' GTU gang) dropped on me FOR FREE!
It ran when I got it but doesn't at the moment. Investigating the issue in another thread but for now, feast your eyes on one of the worst condition cars I have ever owned! It's fun to do donuts and burnouts in for sure though.

I was completely new to Rotary engines and mazda in general so I have been doing a ton of research, I've been premixing, and I've been bringing it up to redline a couple of times although I'm not certain if it's healthy to go past the redline on the dash yet I've heard conflicting info on that. I know it's necessary to rev high to clear carbon and keep it running healthy. Has okay compression at around 90psi in both rotors and the puffs always sound even. Hoping to see a big transformation in this car in a year or so. Glad to have found this forum!

Glad to say I got it running again! Needed a new fuel pump, trailing coil, and I sanded down and fixed corroded grounds and splices here and there. I didn't try turning the car over every time but when I put the new pump in and sanded the grounds down a bit to clear rust and corrosion I went for start and she picked right up!

Short term goals include a more aggressive clutch and pressure plate, and cleaning up the engine bay / interior. Needs new tires as well as an exhaust but the exhaust isn't "necessary" but rather a courtesy I may consider giving my coworkers.
