AK Triangle noob!

Hello everyone! my names Adam I'm from the great state of Alaska.

ever since i was about 11 I've wanted an rx7... and i finally got one!
im not completely new to rotarys but i only know what the internet can provide.. no real world experience... yet

I'd post up some pics but i don't think i can yet..

i got an 82 RX7 gsl in trade for my 91 subaru wagon. it runs ok, and drives kinda, the bodys more metal than rust and the interior is mostly decent. its probably going to be gutted and raced out... im kicking around the idea of lifting it a little and making a rally car...

its got a few issues currently needs new clutch, needs some of the emissions put back or the carb rebuilt, needs a new waterpump, some new tires, and some new suspension peices.. will be fun to DD it while building it.

but on the plus side its a 5 speed only has 122k has a full 2.5" exhaust, block to bumper.it sounds like God farting, awe inspiring, but slightly unbearable. its a LSD and from what i can tell it is functioning. it blows some clouds out the tailpipe when you start it but doesn't smoke a bit when its running, it smells rich and needs a tune up badly. the carb continues to pour gas into the motor after shutdown.. i need to look into the fuel pump... i can see the filter bailing wired in place....

even with the clutch slipping like crazy it still breaks them loose and it only gets better from there... let the drifting..COMMENCE!!!

sounds great mang!! gotta work hard to play hard :] good luck with everything! and its normal for rotars to blow out smoke when you first start it but then stop while driving.

oh i will! i can get some 2" spacers the rest will come from tires... i know on a subaru loyale with 2" lift you can fit 27"s and im seeing alot of similarity's maybe not 27"s but ill see what i can do.

living in alaska with plans to drive it in the winter means no lowering.. we got 12' of snow last winter...
im thinking about making somewhat of an offroader not a rock crawler of anything that extreme... i dont really see me ever making it fast enough to be a drift car, but on the dirt i could see it happening. and the ground clearance would be quite helpful.. needs a winch and skid plate... maybe a snorkel.. its pretty scary fast already, and my right foot weighs 12 metric tons. so i dont think i should make it faster.
