Hey everyone,

My name is Tim and I am 15. I have had an extreme passion for cars ever since I could start talking. When I heard about the rotary engine, I was amazed at the simplicity and how much power you could get out of such a small engine. I got inspired because in my school's autoshop a former student was having his FD's 13B being rebuilt by his buddy and I got to watch and learn.

I have just discovered aaroncakes AP Cosmo build recently and I watched all 20 build videos in one day, and watch mx3sleeper and aaroncakes on youtube a lot. They happen to be also quite a short distance away from me as I live in Scarborough and they live in London (compared to quite a few who love in the US and other places in the world). I have done extensive research on the FC and FD RX7 in my own time as a hobby, and it is my dream to own and build one of my own. Now, I thought it would be a good time to joing the forums to learn more and look through many build threads.

I would suggest starting with either an FB or FC. The insurance and upkeep on the FD would likely be too much for someone your age. I started with an FB and still have it 17 years later.

Thanks... yeah, I'm planning on going with an FC. I don't know what it is, but somehow I like the FC more? However I like the look of S5 a lot more than S4. I just don't know how I am going to afford petrol haha...

Anyways, do you have the power to go into someone's account and change a few settings? I was playing around in my original account (baldolera) and saw how you could change the skins, and I changed it to mobile by accident. I tried logging back on and it just keeps reloading and reloading. Are there any solutions to this? I searched on this forum with this account, and it seems I may be stuck with this backup one.

I will try to access the mobile site via ipod when it gets back from repair, but until then, I guess I'm stuck with this account.

Not only is it nice to see a young guy with an interest in cars, it's even nicer to see that he can write in complete and coherent sentences. I've run across far too many who can't.

Haha, yeah, I don't really like those people that "txt" on forums. Keep it to cellphones.

I haven't gotten a car yet, as insurance is a killer (I want one badly though!). During March break, I've spent the entire week reading up on this forum and watching build videos. I certainly know a lot more about rotaries than two weeks ago.

 

I haven't messed with the mobile stuff, so i haven't seen this myself. There may be something in the comments/suggestions section about it that you could check.

I can see your settings and can even change/select stuff, but it doesn't let me save it to make the changes stick. I'll PM an admin and see if he can fix it and merge the accounts together.

 

Alright, thanks mate, sorry for the trouble. It's just that I happened to see mobile and didn't know that it would not run on my computer. If the admin is able to merge the accounts, can he or she please make that account's email be the original one, and have the original username too? Thanks so much

Hehe, we have the same name! I want to build my own car someday. As I'm only 15 I'm not doing much sadly. I want to get into engineering, but it is quite hard as Math is not my strong point.

Yeah mate, me too These engines are just so much easier to assemble and disassemble than conventional engines.
